Frequently Asked Questions

Does an Adjustment have to involve cracking the Spine?
Not necessarily. The goal of a chiropractic manipulation is to induce motion to a vertebra that is essentially stuck or lacking movement. This can be done with a “cracking” style adjustment or with the use of an arthrostim adjusting tool which effectively mobilizes the joint, or we can use a drop table style adjustment.

What should I wear for my visit?
Clothing such as a t shirt and shorts, or yoga pants are ideal. We have gowns that can be used if needed.

What should I expect after the first visit?
We will let you know what is wrong and how long it will take to fix the problem. We will begin treatment on the first visit, so some people may experience some slight soreness.

What is the expected timeframe of treatment?
Every case is different and there are multiple factors. It depends on the severity of the problem, how long the problem has been going on, age, physical activity, diet, and how proactive you are with treatment. In general, I have seen some mild issues resolve in 3 to 6 visits or less, some much more chronic issues may take around 14 to 16 visits.

How does your treatment differ from other Chiropractors?
Most people know that chiropractic manipulations are very effective in helping neck and back pain. We build on that and use muscle release treatment that is especially effective in treating chronic issues. This is why we see the more difficult cases. Our goal isn’t just to get you in and out as quickly as possible, which is why we spend about 30 minutes with you to find the problem.
